West Central Behavioral Health is looking to hire a clinician for our Claremont Adult location. West Central is the nonprofit community mental health care provider for Sullivan County and the Upper Valley, ensuring access to advanced counseling, treatment, and support for people of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay.

As a therapist on your team, you will provide individual, family and group therapy for adults living in the Sullivan County area as well as work with individuals with severe and persistent mental health concerns which may include addiction issues, relationship problems, impulsive and risk behaviors; including suicidal and self-harm, problems with stress management, low self-esteem and trauma.


+ Following current practice guidelines provide brief psychotherapy to adults, couples and/or families, as caseload assignments vary. This process includes intake and evaluation, collaboration and mobilization of community resources, and provision of individual and group therapy sessions.

+ Assist clients to gain insight, define goals, and plan action to achieve effective personal, social, educational, and vocational development and adjustment.

+ Manage case referrals and assignments, coordinating client care needs with other team members to ensure effective and optimal care.

+ Complete all documentation and notes on client progress shortly after each visit.

+ Regularly attend and participate in Team and Staff meetings. Function as a treatment team member and contribute to team and site program decision-making.

+ May participate in in-service activities, supervision of assigned trainees, co-therapy with Residents and disposition conferences. Act as a clinical supervisor for other clinical staff members as requested.

+ Represent the organization in the community. May educate community groups and individuals on mental health topics and issues. Assist community groups in identifying and mobilizing resources and developing programs.

+ Provide excellent customer service, both internal and externally at a quality level that meets or exceeds standards set forth by WCBH.


+ Master's Degree in mental health discipline

+ Eligibility for licensure by the State of New Hampshire (preferred)

+ 3-5 years' experience in mental health - in crisis preferred
